Video Transcription:

When the tooth is knocked out, it’s best to keep it in that patient’s mouth until they get to the dentist. The second best place is the parent’s mouth, third would be a cup of milk, fourth being a cup of water. So, in this case he was able to put the tooth back around his cheek to keep it in his mouth until he got to see me at the office. Jeff Lawrence’s Testimonial

Hi, my name is Jeff Lawrence. And I am a regular customer at Little Rock Family Dental Care. Randy has been a friend of mine for probably 30 years. I’ve gone to him for at least I guess the whole time he’s been a dentist. I’m 56 now and through the years you have, oh shoot, I’d have to have a crown. He’s always bonded my front teeth to make them look good and close gaps. He has whitened my teeth, had a couple implants done. And they literally put me out, did the implants and I was able to leave the office. Went back to work that same day. And anyway, I had no trouble whatsoever. The implants grew in perfectly. How Cigarette Smoking Affects The Teeth, Gums, and Tongue

October 31, 2018

Cigarette smoking among adults in the U.S. hit an all-time low of 14% in 2017, down from 42.4% in 1965. Learn about the short and long-term effects of smoking and how it impacts your oral health. (more…)

What Is Oral Thrush?

October 1, 2018

Thrush, also known as candidiasis or moniliasis, is a fungal infection in the mouth that’s characterized by the rapid reproduction of yeast. While it’s far more prevalent in babies, adults and the elderly may also develop this condition.

Oral thrush may begin as nothing more than a few white sores on the tongue and cheek, but it can quickly spread throughout the mouth if not properly treated.

In severe cases, the white bumps associated with this condition can make it difficult for individuals to chew, swallow, or brush their teeth. Any pressure placed against these bumps may create signals of pain. When a person stops brushing his or her teeth due to the presence of painful thrush bumps, the condition may become progressively worse. (more…)

Changes to Your Teeth Cleaning Routine

Your teeth and gums can be very sensitive to change. By way of example, let’s say you have been using the same toothbrush for a few months and you get a new one at the end of your checkup with us. That night, you are very excited to use your new brush, but look down and see some pink in the sink. In many cases, there is no need to fear. What probably happened was that your old brush was soft-bristled due to use, while the new brush is firm and has scraped against your gums.

Changes to your flossing schedule have the same effect. Take your time to ease into new changes to your routine. (more…)
