Dr. Mark Murphy - LR Family Dental Care


Dr. Mark Murphy

Mark Murphy, D.D.S. is a Little Rock native. Dr. Murphy graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1980 and then from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1986. He has been in private practice in Little Rock since 1986. Dr. Murphy and his staff joined Little Rock Family Dental Care in January 2014.

Dr. Murphy is active in organized dentistry, and served on the Executive Council of the Arkansas State Dental Association from 2002 to 2007, and as President of the Central District Dental Society since 2010. He is also a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, International and American College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He has also served on the part-time Dental Staff of Arkansas Children’s Hospital from 1987 – 1998.

Dr. Murphy enjoys volunteer work and he is proud to currently serve as the Volunteer Director of the Arkansas Mission of Mercy (ARMOM) dental project, which has provided thousands of dollars of dental work free of charge to needy Arkansans since 2007. He also participates in the DHS Donated Dental Services Program and Christian Community Care Clinic in Benton Arkansas.

He has been married to his wife Candice since 1984. They have a son, Ross, who is attending UALR School of Law, and a daughter, Paige, who is a senior at the University of Central Arkansas. Dr. Murphy and Candice have been active members of Trinity United Methodist Church since 1984. Dr. Murphy’s hobbies include avidly following the Razorbacks, bike riding on the river trails, water sports and snow shoeing.
